10 minutes to convince of the dangers of dairy products

More and more of us no longer consume dairy products, but around us, we all have people who remain convinced that milk is essential for bones.

It is not easy to convince a person who has been drinking cow's milk for 35 years to quit overnight.

But we will still try:

..1 Official recommendations are biased

The official recommendations of the government to consume at least 3 dairy products per day are established by a committee of health expert.

This committee is made up of around 30 people, at least 19 of whom are directly affiliated with the dairy industry (Danone, Nestlé, etc.). There is no transparency, so the official dairy recommendations have no credit.

..2 Man is the only species to consume milk from another species in adulthood

The human race has survived and evolved for 7 million years without any dairy products, feeding on breast milk only in infancy. On the skeletons of prehistoric men, there is no trace of any of the bone diseases known today.

Dairy products appeared only 10,000 years ago in our history which is, on an evolutionary scale, very recent.

The result of these millions of years of evolution without milk? 75% of the world's population is intolerant of dairy products in adulthood. Humans are the only species on Earth that consume the milk of another species in adulthood.

..3 The countries that consume the most milk have the most fractures

In 2002, the World Health Organization itself recognized a "calcium paradox". The countries that consume the most dairy products in the world (the Scandinavian countries) have the heaviest bones, are the largest, and have the most fractures of the femoral neck.

Conversely, people in Africa and some in Asia who consume the least milk have perfect bone health, with the lowest fracture rates. It is not a coincidence.

NB: at this stage, your interlocutor could retort you that these results are explained by the lack of vitamin D in the Scandinavian countries, linked to the lack of sunshine.

It is true that vitamin D is essential in fixing calcium by our bones. The Scandinavians certainly have less vitamin D than the other populations of the planet of the sunnier regions.

However, Australians who enjoy very strong sunshine all year round have the SAME fracture rates as our Scandinavian friends. The sun explains nothing, the consumption of dairy products yes.

..4 No studies have shown that milk protects against fractures

There is currently no evidence that the consumption of dairy products protects your bones during your life from the risks of fractures.

25 million American infants raised strictly without cow's milk (but with soy substitutes) showed NORMAL growth and no problems with malnutrition.

The icing on the cake, the consumption of dairy products and the frequency of femoral neck fractures have been noted in more than 150,000 postmenopausal women. Those who have consumed the most dairy products in their life (especially during childhood and adolescence) have no fewer fractures than women who have consumed the least.

..5 Modern dairy products are worse than anything

Today's dairy products are far from looking (except the color!) Like those your parents or grandparents drank.

Today, cow's milk contains a soup of sex hormones (estrogen and progesterone) which promotes uterine and breast cancer.

Cow's milk is a machine that stimulates the production of IGF-1 to grow the calf, which will weigh more than 300 kilos a year after birth. IGF-1 is a growth factor that will boost the proliferation (or multiplication) of your cells. You're going to grow, except that ... IGF-1 develops all of the cells in the body, even pre-cancer patients. Some studies have linked milk consumption to the development of prostate cancer in men or of the ovaries in women.

Finally, all the pesticides and chemical fertilizers used in cow fodder are found in the milk you drink.

..6 Milk can cause type 1 diabetes

Cow's milk contains bovine insulin very similar to that of humans. But enough for our immune system not to recognize it and attack it with antibodies. These same antibodies then won't tell the difference between bovine insulin and ours.

The result ? An autoimmune disease, our antibodies destroy beta cells in the pancreas, insulin no longer exists. You are type 1 diabetic, the most severe form of diabetes.

..7 Milk helps acidify the body, which weakens bones

It is now proven that our overconsumption of animal proteins and salt acidify our body which compensates by recovering "buffers" everywhere in our body.

Which is the most used? Calcium citrates, that of our skeleton! Yes, too much salt, too much meat, degrades your skeleton. Ironically, dairy products dramatically drop the levels of vitamin D, the same molecule that helps us fix calcium!

..8 And to conclude ...

Cow's milk is not a deadly poison that will send you straight to the cemetery. You will likely stay healthy even if you eat a lot of dairy products. However, worldwide, this overconsumption is dangerous for health.

You just have to reduce its consumption and (my personal opinion) completely stop industrialized cow's milk.

And there you go: ten minutes. Cheers !
